-Create teams of engaged professionals who strive for optimal results; create vision for the team and set clear objectives and measure progress.

-Assist in developing and achieving the business vision and business plan for the organization.
-Lead the development, process and discussion with the respective executive teams (Region, PL, Claims and Finance) to develop their business plans and objectives.
-Act as a member of the divisional executive team to set strategy, priorities and direction.
-Educate internal departments (such as underwriting, claims and region) and influence external stakeholders (such as universities, regulators and IBC) on actuarial and business concepts.
-Lead the technical guidance to conduct rate adequacy studies.
-Contribute to the achievement of direct written premium, loss ratio, and mix of business targets.
-Influence and communicate with Regional, Divisional, and Corporate teams regarding growth and profitability strategy.
-Steer the actuarial team by organizing, planning and monitoring the optimal use of human capital, financial and material resources in accordance with the company’s strategic objectives and within the approved budgets.
-Provide support to develop and ensure successful implementation of the company’s strategies within its business plan.


-10+ years of experience in an actuarial role, with at least 5 years in a strategic and leadership management capacity.
-Work experience in property and casualty insurance, specifically in pricing.
-Proven success in leading and inspiring others through vision and values.
-Superior skills in negotiating, gaining commitment and building strategic relationships.
-Strategic thinker and solutions-oriented;
-Work both independently and collaboratively with others.
-Established confidence in taking risks and facilitating change.
-Completion of a university degree in actuarial studies, economics, finance or mathematics.
-Qualify for a Fellowship of Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS).
-Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills.
-French language skill is an asset.
-Computer literacy in Microsoft Office, SAS and VBA.
