Responsibilities:

- Build pricing models and tools for life and health insurance.
- Build financial reporting and risk management dashboards for clients.
- Assist with the pricing, valuation, reserving and development of life and health insurance products.
- Work to develop financial projections of clients’ insurance business.
- Document and review own work.
- Follow the company’s Professional Excellence guidelines.
- Seek and participate in key learning and development opportunities/maintain steady progress through exams.
- Build strong relationships internally and with client representatives.
- Demonstrate natural ease and effectiveness when dealing with clients/colleagues at all levels.
- Liaise with the project manager on a regular basis.
- Assist in creating detailed project plans.
- Monitor project progress against deadlines and budget.
- Ensure appropriate and effective communication among team members and the client.
- Deliver projects that meet or exceed client expectations.
- Increase efficiency within client teams by identifying ways to improve processes.
- Meet billable hours’ targets.

Qualifications:

- Some related experience and knowledge of various life and health insurance products.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Access and Excel.
- Excellent AXIS skills.
- Experience with VBA.
- Familiarity with Power BI and SQL.
- Bachelors’ Degree required.
- At least 2 actuarial exams passed with progress toward ASA and/or FCIA credentials.
- Internship or 1 year of actuarial experience preferred.
- Well organized and detail oriented.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Natural ease and effectiveness when dealing with clients/colleagues at all levels.
- Ability to respond to all communications effectively and in a timely manner.
- Flexibility and proven ability to diagnose and resolve issues; strong client service orientation.
- Ability to work both independently and on client teams and enjoy a fast-paced environment.
