Responsibilities:
· Develop tools for analytics and management information to enhance portfolio creation and management capabilities.
· Assist in pricing insurance-linked securities (ILS) products such as ILWs and Catastrophe bonds.
· Generate and interpret key metrics from property catastrophe models
· Create or update financial cash flow models for diverse portfolios
· Generate data summaries, tables, charts, visualizations, and maps to provide insights into portfolios.
· Prototype tools to address business problems, gathering feedback from users.
· Assist in writing development specifications for IT when prototypes are ready for broader deployment.
· Support research projects, both actuarial and non-actuarial, testing non-standard and innovative risk modeling approaches and constructing portfolios of complex reinsurance risks.
· Identify opportunities to automate reports and processes.
· Understand business processes and establish connections with data from the company's operational systems.
· Interact with various stakeholders during the development of prototypes.
· Collaborate with senior team members to define the scope of required analysis.
· Cultivate trusting relationships with colleagues.
· Continuously develop technical knowledge of coding and analytical tools in use.


Qualifications:
· 2+ years of industry experience
· Understanding of database structures and logic, including database language such as SQL
· Understanding use of data science and statistical tools / languages
